KITCHEN, 2 BATHROOMS & NEW TOILET

The following project was carried out for a customer in Boreham Street and involved refurbishing 2 bathrooms, installing a new fitted kitchen and a new downstairs toilet. The customer sourced their own kitchen and bathroom and we provided advice in the planning & quotation process to ensure that everything ran smoothly and of course fitted and worked once it arrived.

The kitchen units were sourced from MFI with Duropal high gloss worktops. All the existing appliances were in good condition and were used in the new kitchen after a thorough cleaning. The base units were flatpack and where necessary they were strengthened and braced to make them more durable. Ceramic wall and porcelain floor tiles were also installed. The kitchen adjoined the existing downstairs toilet which was removed and installed elsewhere in the house to open up the room.

Radiator and tile skirting

The existing ceramic inset sink was re used as it was in good condition and in keeping with the client's taste. The porcelain floor tiles were used as an upstand/skirting board and a new traditional style radiator was installed. The customer was thoroughly delighted with the transformation from the old kitchen and by how much could be achieved within a limited budget with careful planning. The kitchen was also rewired at the time of the installation.

NEW BATHROOMS

Two new bathroom suites were fitted on the 1st floor with identical suites and tiles. New radiators were installed to match the one in the kitchen and the bath panel was custom made from water resistant tongue and groove MDF panels. These were treated and sealed with oil based acrylic eggshell paint. Both the rooms were also decorated.

NEW DOWNSTAIRS TOILET

A new toilet was installed to replace the one that was removed from the kitchen area. It was installed under the stairs and though space was limited, by carefully selecting a compact pan and sink, there was sufficient room to make it a viable project.
